Installation went well, all drivers went on, everything work fine. I am just having a couple problems: One problem is once I set up my desktop and screen resolution, after I reboot, it goes back to the default with the 800X600 resolution, and the icons that were there went I first reinstalled the OS. Seems like it isn't saving my settings. Also, when I click on some icons in the control panel like, User Accounts, Add/Remove Programs, etc; it keeps saying, 'the requested feature is not available'. Also I am trying to install google toolbar but the Sygate is not allowing it - and when I click on the Sygate program to open it, nothing happens. I know HP has an uninstall softpaq on their site, but everytime I try to get it, sygate doesn't let me Down in the tasbar next to the clock, there is a green 'lock' icon and when I hover over it, it says 'enabled'. I believe this is probably the root of the problems - it is not allowing me to make any modifications. How do I DISABLE, so that I can modify?? I understand the thin client is not a full fledged PC, but it should give me some configurability! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Windows Xp Embedded Sp3 DownloadThe reason none of your changes are being retained is that XPe's Enhanced Write Filter is probably enabled. To see if this is the case, open a DOS prompt (START| RUN| type CMD ), and enter in the following (without quotes): 'ewfmgr c:' (This is presuming that your flash drive id 'c'. If it not, use your drive letter in place of 'c'). Look for State Property. It will probably say 'Enabled'. Hp Compaq T5000 SpecsTo disable the EWF, first reboot the system. (This is so there is no unwanted data getting saved). Then open a DOS prompt again, and enter: 'ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable' Reboot the system again. Check the status of the EWF as outlined in the first step above. State Property should now be 'Disabled'. Make any changes you want. Screen resulution, icons, google toolbar, whatever. When you are done, you MUST re-enable the EWF, or your flash drive will wear out prematurely from Windows constant writing to it. Open a DOS prompt and enter 'ewfmgr c: -enable' Reboot the computer. Your changes should have been saved, and the EWF should once again be enabled.
